Pool cleaning robot compatibility

What to confirm for an in-ground pool robot: surface, shape, steps and filtration.

Bottom-and-wall coverage on a listing is not proof the robot will climb your waterline or handle a beach entry, spa or infinity edge.

Check the surface. Pebble, vinyl, tile and fibreglass behave differently. Also check filter access, the weight you must lift out wet, and whether the charger is suitable for a 230 volt Australian socket.

A maximum area in square metres is not the same as a pool volume in litres. Debris, slopes and a heavy leaf load shorten the real cycle.
