Floors, water tanks and mopping
How to read vacuum-and-mop claims, including water volume, timber and what a robot mop does not do.

A robot mop damp-wipes. It does not replace a hard-floor wash, and it is not a workshop wet-and-dry vacuum. Look for the water-tank volume, whether flow stops when the robot stops, and whether the mop plate can be removed.
Coated timber and worn laminate can mark if a mop is left wet. Lift the plate for rooms that should stay dry. Do not treat a manufacturer’s “all floors” line as a promise about your floor.
